How do british people feel about...?

she is a figure head

she has done a good job for nearly sixty years

better than being ruled by a gaggle of wicked old men with warped religious ideologies like some countries

and even if they have german ancestory it goes back nearly two centuries....how long does it take for them to be british when i see many immigrants straight from the third world clutching british passports and no liberal ever says they aren't british

I wasn't aware that the Royal Family were "decadent".

As for saying that they are "German", well they may have German ancestry but its so far back as to be pretty negligible. Princes William and Harry, Prince Charles, The Queen, her parents, their parents etc all British born and bred. Having a German ancestor does not make you "German" anymore than having a great great great great great great grandfather who was Irish makes you Irish (tell that to the deluded Americans though lol).

I have no issues with the Royal Family. I'm proud to be a subject of Her Majesty.

Ambivalent, I use to be all against them and still oppose the Institution but not the Windsor's personally I now realise they don't really matter in the lives of ordinary Britons (except when the national anthem is on) which most people don't even know the words too anyway.

Eh, are they really being ruled? She has essentially no political power. She's a figurehead. The real work is done by the House Commons and, to a lesser extent, the House of Lords. Where some of her ancestors are from doesn't affect anyone, not even the Queen, so I don't see why it matters.

Felt that certain members should have been done for treason during the second world war and some of the people they associated with but clearly this was not going to happen.

Sadly feel that once HM Queen Elizabeth the Second dies that will more of less be the end of the royal family......I know for sure I don't want that prat Charles and his tart in charge of anything.

We are not ruled by them. They are merely expensive figureheads. We are, in reality, ruled by global capitalists, like most other nations.

Proud to be ruled by our Queen. She is an exceptional woman.
