Retainer Problem Help Please?

Question

Have you ever had a day where nothing goes right? Okay here we go I was doing laundry why of all times did I decide to wash my robe, and why did I place my retainers in my robe pocket instead of the case I will never know! Anyway I forgot they were in there and didn't discover until I was pulling everything out of the dryer. I popped it in my mouth and its uncomfortably tight so I immediately placed it in cold water for a few hours not much has changed with the way it fits. Would it be better to get another or will this one eventually return to its normal feel by me wearing it?

Thanks Painless about to try that now, Ive been out of braces for two years now so I just wear the retainer at night

Seems to have worked !!!!!im embarrassed to say though since the dryer incident wearing the retainer has caused my gums (front) to become slightly swollen so maybe I wont wear it tonight thanx for your help

If they are for orthodontics get a new set.  If they are night guards try a hair dryer very carefully, if not it will distort.. Heat ir and pop it in your mouth and suck on your thumb. Carefully now no hot water
