Shows like Rock Star and Nashville Star had original song night. It's too bad that American Idol doesn't because this season came down to 2 very talented songwriters. But if they were allowed to sing an original song each for the finale, which songs would you like to hear compete?

Like a couple other people I did not start watching until NCAA basketball was over.
I like "Holy Toledo" from Crystal.
I agree that especially since they write original songs they should bring it on.
I think they should each play 5 songs tonight so people can really compare - but they won't it will be filled up with BS.
In general, I really prefer Crystal. She was the only one who seemed to get "Shanai Twain" night.
Only her and Mike got Sinatra IMO.
So I don't have the history with AI; I came in late (maybe with 5 or 6 contestants remaining). Crystal has impressed me most of the time. Lee did great on Hallelujah last week.
Glad it's almost over - I hate wasting my life watching TV. It has about as much merit as drugs.
