The "Best Answer" you chose is actually the most stupid answer. It am an expert in Filipino, native Tagalog. "Kumusta" is proper, but in Maynila, they write & say it "Kamusta." Just like "meron" wherein it's is supposed to be "mayroon."

The dictionary lists kamusta as the official spelling, but colloquially you could pronounce it either way.
