Can you help me with a song (Scottish and probably traditional)?

Question

I've stayed in Edinburgh the last few days and a lot of street musicians played a song which sounded pretty fast to me. 
I could figure out that it's no hymn. But that's mainly it (I've never ever been good at music and I know this is a very brief and probably not helpful description. I'm sorry). Maybe some one can help me...
