When I place a magnet on my cell phone the screen goes black?

Magnets disrupt the LCD screen's in cell phones (or any LCD device for that matter). Computers, cell phones, anything with a display has a magnet inside it to be able to display correctly. Even speakers have magnets. Without them, devices wouldn't work. When you place another magnet onto the device, you're actually disrupting the magnet in the unit. This can be seen when you place two magnets together at opposite polarities; you won't be able to connect them unless they're on the right polarity. This phenomena is actually permanently damaging the devices you attach them to. If you do it enough, the screen will no longer display correctly - instead it will show random colors like a rainbow. Google "TV Magent" to see what kinds of things can happen. I recommend you don't ever do this to an electronic device.

lol...you can't stick a magnet to anything it sucks the life out of it don't ever stick a magnet to a tv it sucks the color out of the picture tube why would you stick a magnet to your phone in the first place don't make any sense

Who does stuff like this..OF COURSE its going to do that...look what it does when you stick it by a tv, same concept...do you think its going to get brighter or something?
