A rod 6 meters long is placed on the x-axis from x=0 to x=6. The mass density is 12/sqrt(x+1) kilograms per meter
B.) what is the average mass density of the rod?
Can someone please work this problem out step by step., so that I could better understand. Thanks!

(1/6) ∫ [ 12(x+1)^(-1/2) ] dx
= 2∫ [ (x+1)^(-1/2) ] dx
= 2 [ 2(x+1)^(1/2)] evaluating from 0 to 6
= 2[ 2(6 + 1)^(1/2) - 2(0 + 1)^(1/2)]
= 2[2√7 - 2]
= (4√7) - 4
