Help installing win xp?
seems I have bad files, it is the same disk I loaded my computer with, should I get another copy or can I skate around the bad files?
Contacted Microsoft, they suggested I buy one. Dell will not talk to me

contact the vendor (HP Compaq) if this is from a vendor or Microsoft with the key and they will send you a new CD

You will need to get a new disk. If you old disc has bad files, that will just create problems with you system. Also, get windows XP Professional instead of pro. It will go faster and be better.
