I bathe my shih tzu and pug once every 3-4 weeks in the winter and every 2-3 weeks in the summer. They stay inside but of course go outside to go potty and get walked daily. It is better to underbathe than overbathe, for most dogs. You don't want to dry out their skin. Do brush your dog every few days.

Once a month should be fine. Unless she rolls all over the grass or dirt like my dog you should bathe her on the same day.

Try bathing once a month for indoor dogs, once every 3-4 weeks for indoor/outdoor, once every 2 weeks for outdoor.
