Which is the better city: Portland, Seattle, or Chicago?
I'm thinking about universities. Which has the better nightlife, climate (I like a seasonal climate. I'm from the UK originally so I don't mind rain, clouds), etc.?

Gee, THIS is a Tough One...-cuz they're all great cities with LOTS to offer. I'd choose Seattle. The Summers are Beautiful, the Winters will make you feel "at home", the Colleges are Good, and the Nightlife is cosmopolitan... ... Oh, & I've NEVER heard anyone say ANYTHING Bad about Seattle (except that it rains too often in the Winter ! ). So GO for it ! :)

i've never been to Chicago, but i've lived in Portland for 16 years, and have visited Seattle many times. i'd go with Portland : ) it's a lot colder / not as warm, in seattle than portland.
