Change You Can Believe In?

Well Obama and Congress passed Credit Card reform and well all I noticed is that my interest rates have increased and the credit card companies are charging more fees. Now Obama and Congress will reform health care and you can bet your life [and I do mean life] that your health care will cost more and you will get worse coverage. Hows that Change You Can Believe In? Has anyone seen a government program that works and isn't bankrupt?

Wow, I didnt know that. I dont have credit cards, so I didnt need reform. Thats a shame. When I heard it was implimented, I thought, good for you. Help the consumer out. Now, I see the real truth.

In addition to what lynzoi said: the current american health care system is also one of the most expensive worldwide. The US spends more than 15% of its GDP on health-care! The international average is ~10% (and most of the first-world-countries _have_ public healthcare for all citizens!)

For a start credit cards are a rip off anyway. Are you surprised they're taking advantage of the system to bleed you of more money?

Secondly, the health care bill is going to be one of the best things to happen to America. In the long run it will actually be cheaper for you- insurance companies will no longer be able to charge ridiculous fees, people won't lose their homes because they can't afford treatment and medicine production won't go to the highest bidder.

Plus, it'd be pretty tough for American health care to get any worse; you're ranked 36th in the world according to the WHO, which is right beneath Puerto Rico!
