What happens if you sync a jailbroken iPod to iTunes?

Question

If my iPod is jailbroken and I synced the app would blackra1n and cydia disappear or would they sync to iTunes
what if I transfered purchases would that affect them?

I don't have my iPod touch jail broken but my friend does and his does not do that. What the iPod itself should do is sync the music to your iPod but if you do happen to connect your iPod to iTunes and click "restore" on the sync summary than you will loose all your jail broken content and will therefore have a regular iPod just like how it came with its factory setting.
