Why do people from Puerto Rico come to the USA?

The main reason why Legal US citizens from Puerto Rico come to the mainland US is due for one distinct reason & that is due to High Unemployment on the island.

Puerto Rico is an official commonwealth of the United States, so basically it has the same status as any State would. If you're going to or from Puerto Rico you don't need a passport. That would be why you see a lot of Puerto Ricans in the U.S.

Many reasons. Food stamps (Linkcard), free emergency room care, WIC, welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, cash jobs are pretty easy to come by b/c employers don't have to report employers . Our country has a lot to offer an immigrant (whether legal or illegal.)
