Ipod's are secured and if you download and install itunes for a particular nano on a certain computer, you can't use that nano to download music using another computer. You would have to do a transfer and then a transfer back to her's. That would be quite some task.

What you should do is, send her your songs via email..lol...or burn them on a cd and give them to her and she can download them to her itunes library and then her nano.

The one's with the red circle with a line through it icon are copyrighted. You will have to get them from another source.

Wheres the computer she used to buy and adownload her mp3's on? If she still has it. Get a jump drive and drag the songs that are on YOURS to it. Then. put the jump drive in her computer so that you put the songs in her itunes thatway.

(not shure if it works for PC though) Try, SENUTI. Just search it in google. (its itunes spelt backwards) A free trail of senuti on YOUR computer will last 30 days. And it takes all the songs on the ipod and puts them on the computer. Because usually ipods dont allow that. The only problem is, she WILL have the PURCHASED songs. But, they will no longer be reconized as purchased. If she has the recepits its not like its illegal, but they just wont be under the "purchased" section in her ipod.

I worked on a shared workstation too and each thing works nice. nicely first plug on your ipod on your workstation. *make particular that the internet closed* Then press the Itunes Icon. If it dosent seem restart your workstation. attempt those steps returned. If it dosent paintings call the Apple corporation.
