BioShock2 Won't Run on my PC! Its up to date though!?

Question

Everything sets up but the icon doesnt appear on my desktop or in my Start Menu then when I AutoRun it, it says:

Bioshock 2 has stopped working
Windows can check online for a solution to the problem

well os version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3 is a vista blue screen error code

and Exception Code: c0000005 is a vista security block code

i'm guessing it has something to do with your "user rights" to open the program. you may need administrative rights for the program to run, and there may be a microsoft vista security program trying to block the application from running.

In most game setups, there are options to add the game executable icon to your start menu or desktop.   You may have skipped this, or Bioshock 2 doesn't do that automatically.   Either way, the autorun is not the "program" icon you want to double click to launch the game.  You want the actual game executable.

You should find this under the Start button, programs, and then the submenu for the publisher or just "Bioshock".   If not, go into your directory where you found the autorun icon and look for another icon that is the game executable.
