does age really matter?

Well, you should keep it in the same school. If you are 13 you are in middle school and your life experiences don't relate to a boy who is in high school. You have plenty of time to date older guys when you are older and in the same lifeboat as they are.

legally, 3 older or more is a crime. Strong attachment to a guy at your age can cause brain damage, other health problems that will last the rest of your life. Your personality is not set until your 25! After you're 25 any age from 18-80 is fine, but until you're at least 18 you can't be careful enough! No thought you have is unique. Since you are 13, then 14 is the oldest that I think.

As you get older, you can space out the age difference.

At 18, 21 is ok.

At 30, maybe 35 or more is ok.

Just remember that you are still a child.

And older guys want sex.

And if you make a baby at 13, it will distort your body and make emotional problems for you and your whole family.

Just wait until you are older to have a boyfriend.

Now, you can have friends.

p.s. Once you are an adult, then age doesn't matter so much.

Being you are 13, I would say you bf should be no more than 15. As far as I am conserned you should not be dating untill you are at least 16. But that is up to your mother. At the age of 16 you should not date any one over the age of 19. When you reach the age of 20 then you can date any one that you chose reguardless of age.

well if u just turned 13 then no high than 15 or 14 if your about to turn 14 than no higher than 15 or 16 at the most try to stay with people your own age.

i'd go with the number guy his 2 year rule seems good, and i'd also combine that with nobody from a different school level as you. your parents are right btw. for adults time isnt quite as small as it is for kids. i mean if we follow your logic and its alright for anyone to date ten years apart (like your parents) then you could date anyone from 3 years old to 23 years old.

well if your boyfriend is in between the ages of 19 or over then do not date him but if hes 18 or younger then i suppose u could if your responsible enough

no higher then 16. AT 13 you are not ready for sex or the emotions of a real relationship. boys who are 16 and older start to want to have sex and do other things. you are not ready for that.

well it depends how many years there is apart..

if its just two or three years, age is just a number.
