So, Date tonight and of course I broke out a couple of days ago....?
It's not bad and I've managed to get it better but still noticeable. I've only got a couple of hours but I figured it was worth a shot to see if anyone has any tips to make them less noticeable for at least one night. I've heard visine but don't have any and can't use it anyway since I wear contacts (i.e. I'm not going to buy it for just zits). I've heard icing helps but will it work for the whole night? I'm doing a mask right now to try and get every thing toned and even.
What about make up tricks? Again, I'm pretty good at covering them but any thing helps. And I already know about green concealer to cover the redness, what else you guys got?
Actually no, toothpaste doesn't work. It only works IF the paste contains zinc, the majority of them do not and will just irritate the skin leaving a burn like mark.
Really not what I want on a first date.

Visine and Icing? Wow, I've struggled with pimples my whole life and i've never heard of that.. Anyway, Since you're low on time here's a few of my quick tips that i've discovered works amazingly. If you have powder foundation and a small brush, (preferably a small makeup brush, but something like a clean eyeshadow brush could work too) dab the brush in the powder and put it right on the pimple. You're putting more makeup in a smaller, more consentrated area and you'll be amazed at how much coverage you have. Also, use a washcloth when you wash your face. I had horrible acne for 10 years and I began adding a washcloth to my face washing routine and it worked like magic after a week or 2. I wet the cloth, wipe it on my face(whether I have makeup on or not), I use Olay Sensitive Skin face wash, lather, rub it on my face and then rewet the washcloth and wipe the soap off. The washcloth exfoliates and gets all the dirt/oil/make up off. I use only powder makeup because the liquid may have oil and such that can clog pores. Bare Minerals make up is the best I have ever used. My face has been clear for a year. I learned the small brush trick from them, and it really does work! You can apply as much as you need to that one area with a small brush and it doesn't look cakey. Good luck! :-)

The same thing just happened to me! I just made sure it was moisturized to the point where I could cover it. You DON'T want a dried out zit because you will not be able to cover it worth crap. Just put ice on it for a good five minutes and that should help with redness and make it less swollen.
