Time heals all wounds. Don't swear off girls forever but give it awhile and then start looking again. I got lucky my first girlfriend became my wife. I had many times though, where girls were comfortable as friends but nothing else even though it was obvious that I liked them. They would end up going out with someone else and never giving me a second look.

In high school I was dumped by this girl I was supposed to take to homecoming, the day before the dance. She showed up with another guy to boot. I told my dad about this and he took me on a drive. He said, "Son, girls are like taxi cabs, wait long enough and another one will come by." There are other fish in the sea my friend.

Don't try and find a quick fix. That won't work trust me!!! It may take 2-3 weeks or 2 months. You will find another girl. Until then focus on getting yourself better and if you made any mistakes in your previous relationship, fix it. That way when the next girl comes along you will be ready.

There is NO best way, everybody deals with loss in different ways. A good start would be to keep yourself occupied and talk it out with people who care about you. The pain comes from loss but is amplified when there is no outlet. It does suck and I do feel for you but don't hold it in! It will take time but the pain will SLOWLY go away and you will find someone worthy of your own personal gifts! Hang in there!
