It is hard to say which language is easier more useful. That would probably depend on your native language, because it might have similarities to the second language you are trying to learn. Interest and motivation also play a big part, since they determine how well a person can learn something. As a Chinese teacher, of course Chinese will be my choice. Most important, as you know, with the rapid development of China, it is becoming stronger and stronger, and there are more and more people learning Chinese. Chinese will become an important tool for the exchange of ideas that have adapted to the needs of human social life. Having a good command of Chinese will be a great advantage in your future life. So I think Chinese will be the best choice for you. Learning Chinese is not as hard as people say. As long as you learn it with your heart, you can achieve more. If you are interested in learning Chinese, I suggest you take a one-on-one online school with professional Chinese teachers. Maybe you can have a free trial on http://www.echineselearning.com/free-trial/index.h... to experience the online class. This will make your Chinese learning easier and help you to learn Chinese language smoothly. If you have other questions related to Chinese, just feel free to contact me at jennifer.zhu@echineselearning.com(www.eChineseLearning.com). I will be glad to help you. I hope you can enjoy what you choose.

Chinese and Spanish would be the most useful as they are the most commonly spoken first language. English is the most commonly spoken second language. French and English are recommended for those who are thinking of going into international relations as most documents are written in those languages.

I wanted to learn Japanese because I wanted to learn about their government, educational system, and also because I wanted to enroll in a Manga and Animation institute ^^

Why not learn both Spanish and French. Start with French. I thought it was easier than Spanish my first year, but I forgot all of it already.

They had, and also have Spanish and French in my historical top institution. Recently began educating signal language as good. Took 4 years of Spanish and 2 of French. Have a well talent with overseas languages, so I have no idea if it could be well for you to sign up for each. The large majority of High Schools present the ones 2, and a few present German, Italian, and a couple of different languages.

What the Chinese teacher said is very reasonable. One day Chinese will be an important tool not only for the exchange of ideas, but also for the global trade and business. I will select Chinese, too. If you find it is difficult to learn, you can log in the website www.echineselearning.com where there are so many free Chinese materials, which is helpful to your Chinese learning.

It may seem odd, but Latin is the most useful language in high school. If you take anything else people will insult you because they don't like your accent, or people don't even speak what you learned. If you study Latin you already know about half of any other European language, and about a fourth of Russian.

omg Spanish. so much easier. took my 8 months to learn. french.. well still learning. - i speak fluent Spanish- and i believe Spanish is now the biggest language in the world?

either or really. If you start on spanish, it's really easy(im in it now). French might be a bit fun, but either way, once you learn one language, alot are easier to learn. I would say, unless you plan on traveling, to go with spanish.

Hope you can learn Chinese. It is not very difficult to learn. As long as you learn by heart, everything is not difficult. Just to try, I believe you can do it well.
