Why is Dexter such a BA show??!?

It's hasn't been very long that a "bad guy" has been allowed to be a "hero". Maybe Tony Soprano busted the mold because his character was at least one of, if not the first lead role that showed a typically really bad dude as a full human good and bad. Which, of course, means for us that even the worst of us harbors some good, and by the same turn, even the best of us are capable of unspeakable acts of evil as well. Hence, we now have room for the character of Dexter, who somehow has turned his undeniably evil nature into a way to operate, in a most twisted fashion, for The Greater Good. And it freakin' works...

Dexter appeals to some of man-kinds innermost desires, fears and plays them very well through both its cast and ongoing plot. The idea of taking things into your own hands has long provoked us and sparked controversy, this show simply displays that provocation in a very thoughtful way that thoroughly engages all that watch. Dexter is truly B-f'in-A.
