Now that the Gop has taken back the country, will they succeed in stopping healthcare reform for ever?

Now that the Dems have lost their super majority to the new Gop "pretty" face, will the Gop succeed in putting an end to this "healthcare reform" baloney?

60 minus 1 is still 59, and 59 is still more than 50. But I don't know about GOP math (I know conservatives don't like facts and numbers and such "elitist" things like book-learnin').

As for those stepping down in 2010:

2 out of 58 Dems leaving Congress is about a 3% loss.

    6 Republicans are leaving - that’s a 15% loss.

In the House, 11 out of 256 Democrats are stepping down – about 4%.

    14 out of 178 Republicans – about 8%.

Gop has not taken back the country. The two party system has just played you and the rest of america into thinking you got a win.

Nothing has changed, healthcare or no healthcare I wonder what the next fart in the wind hot topic will be.

A few years ago it was war, then it was taxing the rich now it's healthcare.

stay under the table like a dog and keep begging for scraps while the rest of us (real conservatives) plan our revolution.

First, the GOP is a long way from taking back the country.

Second, the vast majority of Americans are not against reforming the health care system, they strongly reject the Government running the system.

Real Americans see need for change in the health care system and the best change will come from getting the Government Out of the health care business.

Freedom of choice is the American way.

Freedom will resolve the issues. It may take a while to adjust such a huge problem, but if Government interference is eliminated, the problems will be resolved in a responsible manner.

The real question to ask is whether the Democrats will now be willing to consider passing the Republican healthcare reform proposals. The Democrat bills suck.

Please define taking back; the Dems still have a majority in the House and Senate. BTW, what have the GOP done for this country besides win one US Senate; and claiming false victory as being the majority.

Taken back the country? 41 of 100 seats, minority in the house, and a democratic president. How does this qualify as taken back the country?

I hope it puts an end to this bill but we do need real health care reform.
