Why do people take offense when christian tell them truth?

If you haven't been here that long, you will soon see that atheists here are rude about religions, especially Christians. They don't like that our (USA) laws are based on Christians laws.

Religious truth and thereby religious beliefs are relative to the one who holds such and are obviously not universal.

What a religious individual, regardless of his or her chosen faith may hold as "truth" is not valid, reliable nor quantifiable. It is subjective in both its nature and in the view of the adherent.

Religion, belief and faith have never been a "one size fits all" affair or matter and never will be.

Your "truth" is merely your own personal subjective opinion and nothing more and the same seldom if ever stands up to the scrutiny of unbiased investigation.

Your "truth" also excludes the vast majority, condemning the same and by so doing also condemns those who adhere to the letter of the supposed law of the same.

Perhaps it would be a wiser path to promote harmony , unity and the oneness of all demonstrate by mindful awareness and loving kindness.

I don't take offense at being told the truth. I get annoyed when I'm being told that something is true despite the person making the claim having no evidence to back it up.

some people can't handle the truth, that goes for some Christians as well. Doesn't matter what truth it is, some people get heavily offended if it rocks the boat they are in.

If you tell me a fact such as 2+2=4 then fine but when you start talking about stuff from the bible being true well that is just offensive.

Are you sure Christians are telling the truth? Even if you are a Protestant, your Bible had been revised many times by the previous idiotic popes.

Take away the Bible, Jesus cease to exist and Christians are worthless.

There is not truth, or at least there is not truth that can be tested, just a belief, and a belief does not require proof.

because christians have no respect for the beliefs of others..

because your messiah has been rejected for 2000 years by the very people to whom the prophecy was given..

because christians so arrogantly believe they have the truth - and then proceed to tell it to people if they want to hear it or not.

you have your beliefs great - but you cant push them on others and then be surprised when you are met with hostility.
