Many people often look at Nickelback's lyrics on the surface. "Something In Your Mouth" is actually about that crazy girl in a club or bar who is desperate for attention and acting rather slutty. There's a lyric that says "you tease them all by sucking on your thumb," so the lyrics "you're so much cuter when you never pull it out" is actually referring to her thumb. I don't think the song degrades women so much as calling out a specific girl for having very little respect for herself. It's the same with the band's song "Rockstar." The lyrics of that song had many people accusing the band of being shallow and glorifying decadence, but the lyrics are actually quite tongue in cheek and are poking fun at the celebrity lifestyle.
