can a middle class citizen buy their own private road and then name it whatever they want?
I am right now in Maine and I keep seeing 'private roads' with single houses on one street and i was just wondering if anyone could just buy a slightly isolated house and name the road whatever they want. and if they can, how they did it. because i really want a private road and want to know how to get it and name it and all that fun stuff. if that's even possible, i mean.

You need a permit to put the road in, but naming it is up to you, just do whatever you want. As your road is not public it will not appear on any maps etc. You will not be able to use it for a mailing address either.

YES YOU CAN!!! You can even put roll back spike on the entrance with warning signs all over the place.
If you have the land, Just start driving every day on the same spot. Once the grass stops growing. slowly put stones down and so on...?
