christians do you believe in "love enemies"?

Not from what I've heard them say about Muslims being terrorists and all that. Or at least here in America. The land of the free has a mean streak of racism/hate (unfortunately).

Yes. Specifically, I believe there are no enemies. Everybody who ever lived is my brother and sister in Christ. If I perceive them as enemies, then that is an error in belief in myself that I have to address and correct.

I am called to love everybody, even people who diss, hate, and otherwise treat me in crappy ways. It's not easy and I don't *nearly* always succeed, but I keep trying.

In the same way as Lennie loved the puppy and Curley's wife.

Most of these christians don't follow half of what their bible commands, nor do they even know half of it to begin with.

If they did, would they always be threatening their "enemies" with their "Hell"? I would think not... =/
