Is Obama worthy of Nobel peace prize ? What dose peace mean in your culture?

Does peace mean killing children of Afghanistan, bombing Iraq, robberring from weak country, say lie and…?

What is feeling o american that their president is first one in peace (it is the more like a joke)?

I find it funny that he received the prize the same week he announces that hes sending 30,000 troops to a war zone.

I look at it this way, I'm not sure exactly why he got the Peace Prize, and don't know all that much about all the world leaders and people who might qualify, or who else was considered, but a lot of people seem upset about it. I'm not.

To me, who wins the Peace Prize, unless it was the guy who leads Iran or somebody like that, I don't care. It does not effect my life one way or another, except it takes some of the news off Tiger's affairs for a few hours. If it had been somebody in India or France or Indonesia or somewhere somebody did not care about, would it make any difference in their lives. But since it is the President of the US, it gets a lot more news.

As for the war in Afghanistan, like Lyndon Johnson and especially Richard Nixon with Vietnam, he inherited the war from the previous President. I'm not thrilled he is sending more troops into Afghanistan, but some of the same detractors now were all for it when it was Bush's war.

I congratulate the President, even if I am not sure what it was for. It's fine with me. I don't know who else it would have gone to.

Yes Obama does deserve the Nobel peace prize. The majority of terrorists are living and training in Afghanistan so he's doing his best to curtail them and their murderous objectives. This will help to bring peace to the world and to stop them from killing innocent children around the world. He was not responsible for the Iraqi invasion. He was against it, but he didn't get to vote on it., as he had not been elected to the Senate at that time.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke.

If the US did not stop the Taliban and allowed them to prevail, then many more Afghans and people in the west will be killed. It is often necessary to take the surgeon's knife to the cancer (Taliban) in order to heal the patient. There will be pain and bleeding, but the end will be health and peace.

It doesn't make sense, peace and war together.

ridiculous misplaced prestige for a president who does not know what the f.... he is doing.

no, he doesn't. Because he is being nominated for something he has not yet done. but what has happened is because he has been nominated, he is now in the spotlight and it kinda of forces him to take action because if he doesn't, he will look bad in front of the word. It a smart move really. Very clever, But we'll see what happens :)

No, he's another war mongering Bush. I think they gave it to him hoping he would do the right thing- HE DIDNT GET IT
