Ignore these people. Yes, there are Vietnamese people who speak English, why not German. There are over 80,000 Vietnamese people who live in Germany and speak German.

Berlin, and Munich have the highest population of Vietnamese Germans in Germany.

Do you know that Vietnam share the same border with south west of china, therefore, vietnmense look very much like those part of chinese. In fact, being a chinese, i always have difficulties in differentiate the asian people unless they reallly have their own typical ethnic features. Don't feel offended, looking like a chinese or not is not a big deal at all.
