Right im going on contract this week but the only thing is that i wanted to know when you go 2 like the shop where ever your gettin it from .. do you have to pay there n then or when the bill comes through?

ok so how much roughly could the deposits be? so it only the deposit that has to be paid for there and then?

At the store, you pay for the phone, any accessories you buy and the sales tax.  If you are required to pay a security deposit, you must pay that also.  The activation fee and fees for service will come with the first bill.

A security deposit can be anything from $250 to $800.  The more expensive the phone and the more expensive the plan, the higher the security deposit will be.

The only things you have to pay up front are deposits, depending on your credit, and the cost of the phone if you're not getting a free one. Everything else like set up and activation appears on your first bill.
