help me please i'm depressed about this fitness injury?
I've been having some knee problems that have prevented me from running for about a week now. I keep reading things online about other people that have a similar problem that haven't been able to run for years, and for some reason, I just keep thinking that that's going to be me, despite the fact that it has gotten incredibly better in a week's time (last weekend, I could barely walk and I've been walking on an incline on a treadmill for 70 minutes the past few days). The whole knee thing has been getting me down already, but I did NOT need to be reading around online about all the negative things that COULD happen (it's a tracking problem in my knee). I have some physical therapy exercises to do, I'm seeing an athletic trainer on Wednesday, and a physical therapist in mid-November.
I HAVE TO STOP READING ONLINE. Gah, it gets me so afraid of things that I don't even know are going to happen.
Is it possible to recover from runners knee?

yes...
theres no need to overreact at the end of the day injury comes to all atheletic people at some point, you should recover soon..
consider yourself lucky that you havent actually broken/torn any bones or ligaments like your acl etc.. that could have long term effects,
the best thing you can do is do slow exercise or work on another area like ab work or do pilates/yoga low stress exercise and then build your knee strength up with help from your physio team..
wish i was still atheletic i had to give it in due to disability so keep your head up it could be worse at least you can run unlike me! :)
