Guess that they can't find purpose because they don't have any guidelines. They don't believe in anything and think they will cease to exist when they die.

Even more than any Christian or Muslim!!!!!!
An atheist knows he/she has about 80 good years. And during that time, does not waste his time reading old holy books or memorizing every word of the Koran.
(Did you know that 30% of the educational time in Arab countries from grade 1 thru 12 is spent on religious studies? They don't even know who Darwin is. Read last week's issue of The Economist... the one with the cover Obama's war--on the store shelf or in your library. Ardi is pure mystery...!!!!)
The purpose of life is to be happy... to get an education, find a lovely man or woman with whom to share your life, travel, write, read, develop some skill as an artist or photographer, or musician, taste wonderful food, and share laughter, help your friends, and some strangers too....
At age 80, I'm not going to be standing around thinking, maybe there is a heaven where I will sit and a guy in a long beard and white robe is going to come by and pat me on the head.
At death's door I will be saying, " Wow, wasn't that fun!!!" No regrets.

Of course. For example, I turned on a space heater under my desk about twenty minutes ago for the purpose of warming up the room. I opened a soda bottle a few minutes ago for the purpose of accessing the liquid, which I wanted for the purpose of quenching my thirst.
I open doors for the purpose of getting to the other side of the walls they're in, I bought a car for the purpose of getting to places that are too far to walk, and I take care of my cats for the purpose of entertainment and relaxation.
I'm a conscious being. As such, a lot of the things that I do are purposeful, and I ascribe purposes based on the actions of others.
Is there an ultimate purpose that everything is done for, the one value towards which all the other actions I take are ultimately aimed at supporting? In my case, yes. But it isn't something that's greater than myself.

Of course ... particularly subject-verb agreement in grammar. Your question should read "DO Atheists see purpose in anything?"
OR
"Does an Atheist (no plural 's') see purpose in anything?"
Now here's your real answer: You would call anyone who doesn't think the bible is inspired an atheist because they don't picture a Creator in exactly the same way you do.
However, that is simply an ignorant way to look at it. Those Hindus really believe in Brahman, and those Parsees(Zoroastrians) really believe in Ahura Mazda.
Most Atheists simply refuse to play the game of "we made up some stories and now we're going to pretend that a god wrote them". The only thing in our lives that a human being couldn't falsify is nature itself. If there's a Supreme Being or Beings, nature is the revelation it/they provided.

Why wouldn't they?
Things like love, friendship and kindness can be tangible things in everyone's lives, and we should all work to ensure that they are felt by all people everywhere.
If anything, the Atehist's belief that there is no eternal reward, punishment, or even existential pat on the head, for his actions (good OR bad) means that his actions are more pure and altruistic than most so-called Christians, who deep down are only doing what they feel they HAVE to do in order to get into heaven and avoid hell.

Yeah. I see a purpose in enjoying my life. I don't really care how or why I got here, I figure if life's supposed to be some gift, the best way I can thank the universe or this "so called God" for it is to use it.
If I gave someone a toaster, I'd want to see them using it, not go and pray with it!
So yeah, us "non-believers" have quite a purpose, especially sleeping in on Sundays!

Yes?
just because I don't like reading about fictional characters
or that I'm not pious and that I need to see evidence to make me believe in anything, doesn't mean I don't have purposes, mine are just a bit more realistic and tangible then a misleading book of a higher power,
I have no Deity, are pious people really so gullible, that they believe anything they read?

Of course. We just don't see a "magical" purpose to anything. We see realistic purpose.

Athiests like myself are harmless , we respect beliefs but believe and know we were not created by a man , we evolved from monkeys and yes monkeys it may sound ridiculous and mad but isnt life ?
if you base your life around a fiction book you are wasting time and life
we see purpose to live your life , religion causes nothing but conflict !

You don't have to be delusional to see purpose in life. We know how precious life is in a manner a religious person can't. We don't waste this life for a fantasy next one.
