How do I get rid of insomnia?
Im 11 and can barley sleep! When its pitch black, no noise, i cant go to sleep at all, and when i have the tv on i usuallly go to sleep at about 5ish...i have to wake up at 6:45(school night...yikes!)
ps i dont take naps.
guys, im serous, and no, i only have gym on mondays and 6th grade dosent let us go out for recess, its freezing, so no bike, and i cant go to the doctor,my mom or dad wont take me.
im on the computer doing 3 projects at the time so i have to be searching alot

Sleep medicine possibly. Actually, I will recommend the wikipedia page for insomnia. Scroll down to 'causes' and don't do that stuff.

-Get into a sleep routine. -Keep your bedroom dark, quiet and comfortable. -Don't dwell on the insomnia. If you can't sleep, go somewhere and read a magazine or book. quietly. -Don't smoke. -Get exercise during the day. -Try meditation. -Learn about Bach Flower Remedies. If you would like me to go into these, you can add me as a fan. -Reduce your stress level. -Lavender and chamomile oils have a relaxing effect. Drop a few on your pillow and add them to your bath. -Here is one that definitely worked for me when I had an extreme case of insomia this past spring. It is a natural hormone called Melatonin- one that the body makes on its own, but maybe your body isn't making enough. Take .3 to .5 mg 1 hour before you go to bedtime. It is best used on a short-term basis and under a doctor's supervision.

My gosh. is it really that hard to figure out. your at school all day (no physical exercise outside of recess and gym). Do something when you get back from school to make yourself tired. ride a bike, take a walk. play a game. don't just watch tv and play videogames.

dont stay on the net for soooo long it usually wont let you sleep
