Elections in Germany?

The person above me took the words straight out of my mouth- point well made!

the German "conservatives" are far to the left of even the most "liberal" democratic administrations here in the U.S., but we know that Republicans don't realize that because they consider Obama a left wing liberal radical. Even Germany's CSU party in Bavaria, which is a tick more "conservative" than Merkel's CDU party, is to the left of our democrats here in the U.S. I don't think their parties even come close until you start talking the right wing nationalist groups, such as the NPD- and even those guys are much more socially liberal than the most liberal, radical democrat here.

I think that the funny part is that Republicans here in the USA are going to try and make a big deal of the "Conservative" Merkel win. The funny part is being a "Conservative" in Germany means she is farther left wing than President Obama.
