How do I run flowplayer locally?

Question

I was practicing the demo file of flow player.

I placed the flv videos in a folder and edited my web page to point to that location. Yet when I see the page in my browser, all there is is the flow player(as in the GUI) not the video.

Do I need to install wamp, xampp or twampd or any other programs that act as servers?

Flowplayer is great, but maybe a little confusing to use.
