why wont myspace let me turn my profile to 1.0?

i used to have a myspace, but i deleted it.
when i made a new one, it wouldn't let me turn it to 1.0 even when i clicked "return to profile 1.0" 
what is going on?

if you made a accout after april you cant switch

Because, from the perspective of the server owner, the technical design of 1.0 is a security nightmare. They are trying to phase it out.

you can't switch anymore.
but idid hear once that you can switch if you post a blog entry or something like that.
