Front loading washing machines....bouncing around.?

We have just bought a new front loading washing machine.Always have had top loaders.

The machine has been leveled and is sitting rigid....

But as soon as it goes in to the spin cycle...the machine bounces around something awful.

Any tips would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Update:

Sorry...that's not the problem

check to make sure that all shipping straps have been removed, these are used to hold the drum steady during transport

I have had a front loader for 7 years and it does a fantastic job cleaning, I'll never go back. I even have been washing cloth diapers in it for 2 years. You really don't need very much soap, the machine does the work. I only use a few Tablespoons. You can buy the special soap, or just use less of the normal stuff.

LOL exactly what the guy before me said...the shipping brackets are most likely still attached. At the front bottom of the unit should be a couple of screws on each end.Remove these and the panel should come off, remove it and see if the brackets are still attached.Depending on the brand, you may also have some rods in the back-there should be a yellow plastic tag attached to them used for pulling them out.

if you load it with something heavy like a heavy cotton dressing gown and some other things which are light, mine takes time to spread the load. i would say when loading things in you should take notice of the weight, if you have something heavy which might list to one side this happens with any washing machine, if i am putting in a heavy thing i just put that one thing in and set it for a minimum wash. i have some throwovers, which cause me a problem. i have to say though generally if you sort your wash and do bedding on its own with perhaps towels, and clothes seperately you will not have a problem

We have a front loader that did that too.

    It's probably the shocks.

The shocks on ours went bad & it sounded like a tornado every time the spin cycle hit.

It'd hit the dryer & things would be flung everywhere.

If it's still under warranty, call the company.

    Good Luck

Could be a broken shock absorber. Remove the front panel and look inside. You should be able to move the drum and see if both shocks are still connected.

Telephone the company where you bought it and explain that it is leveled and you have it sitting firmly in place until the spin cycle. Ask them what they suggest. I would try to buy some heavy duty rubber matting to put under it myself to keep the noise down.

    Cheers

it does that when there are too many or not enough clothes in the machine
