What is the big hype about high school?

I'm about to be a sophomore and still don't understand the hype... To me, it's just school with more responsibility....I'm not trying to say I don't take it seriously... But I don't understand why I should be nervous or scared....

I think because its one step away from being on your own and really starting your life. Sure you've lived for 18 years when you graduate(at least most people) but your parents have guided you for the most part.

because you're growing up. the hype is all about the fact that you are crossing that line to becoming an adult. you don't have to be nervous or scared but some other kids are. in high school you go through alot of coming of age experiences you are 3 years closer to be an adult, about a year closer to driving...its all about growing up

well, you actually shouldn't be nervous or scared at the moment. the only one's are like really scared are the incoming freshmen's because they dont know what high school is about, but you already know, so really there's nothing to be afraid of

No, this is totally no longer complicated to graduate severe college. even though it continues to be an important time on your existence, and what you do on your 20s could be seen accomplishments.
