What is the best and easiest way to get rid of ants?

We had sugar ants in my house... I don't know if this works for all ants but i mopped the house with vinegar and and water

then i sprayed vinegar and water on the counters in my kitchen. They are gone.

Ant hotels by combat have always worked for me. Not sure why you're not having any luck. The ants are supposed to take the poison back to there colony and kill the Queen. Once the queen is gone...No more ants. Try some different brands. Maybe your offending queen ant is immune.

To kill the ant colony you need to kill the Queen. She is laying like 8000 eggs an afternoon. So spraying to kill the worker ant does not help. you need to kill the Queen to kill the colony. Get the terro ant bait. it is going to charm to the ant to eat the terro drops and produce it to the queen to eat and poisoning her interior the processs with something of the colony. while the ant are ingesting the terro do not kill those ants as they are wearing the poison to the colony. yet you need to kill the ants which at the instant are not in line wearing the terro. this would take 2 to 3 days do away with the ants.

I'm not sure you'd like this method but it is GUARANTEED to work.

1. Get a cocktail stick and spear the target; this will 'pin' it ready for step 2.

2. Using a craft knife, surgically remove the ant's head. If you wish to be doubly certain of the kill, cut its legs off and sever the body.

3. Repeat as necessary on the remaining ants.

An alternative to this method is to get a large magnifying glass and position it relative to the sunlight so that the light is focused in a tiny point. Carefully move the magnifying glass so that the point of light falls on the ant; it will be incinerated.

N.B. This method is not prefered since it requires a very sunny day and is also quite slow.

Both of these methods are perfectly safe for cats and humans.

Maybe you should try spraying bleach on them on the most common place of the ants and or keep food sealed and take out the trash alot if this dosent help by some ant spray or sorry =[

I'm pretty sure they are small ants your talking about, i had the exact same problem, and it was extreamly gross, and I have a cat too. What I did is kill an ant whenever i saw one, it might sound annoying, but what ants do is bring food to the queen, and when the queen cant get alot of food, fewer eggs are laid, and when fewer eggs are laid, even more less food for the queen, you see what happens next.

buy the liquid terro ant trap things. it poisons the ants and tehy take the poison back to their nest or colony or whatever and infect all the other ants

Call an insect company and keep a insect repellent beside you

If the ants have nothing to eat or drink, they will go away.
