Question about the Milford Track?
Sorry about putting this in the "Other-Australia" section - it should have been NZ but it posted it here...
My husband and I are keen to walk the Milford track next year. What is the best month to walk (we were thinking March?) and do we have to use the huts? We definitely do *not* want a guided tour and we were hoping to be self-sufficient and hike with our tent but all the information I have found so far says that you stay in the huts... Any information you can give us would be appreciated. Thanks!

Way busy track that one and hard to get on some times. Check with national parks for rules and when you can book to get on as you can't just show up and walk it.
