Why is it so hard to find a boyfriend?

I don't think I stress enough that looking for a partner can cause a few problems. For example: using your time that could be more practically somewhere else, false or specific desires i.e. analyzing everything other people do to make sure they're perfect, and most of all disappointment.

The world wouldn't be the world if everyone hadn't felt this way at some point in their lives. In the end everyone finds somebody and you're not the exception. You just have to wait and be patient and everything will work itself out. Our goals can sometimes be met when we least expect them. So carry on with your life. Live like you usually do. Seek out your usual goals and you'll see. That special someone will find you when you are not looking for him/her. Because when we look, our judgment can sometimes become a bit cloudy. I would try www.xy.com you could maybe find a local guy on their depending on where you live, you can search it by their location. the reason it is so hard to find a boyfriend when you are gay is because in smaller towns or states and communities that are less accepting of gay people, gay guys are going to be very discreet and afraid to tell others they are gay, its not like it is for a straight couple, when you are straight you can tell that a man is a man and a woman is a woman, when you are gay sometimes the line between a straight man, and a gay man is blurred.

We're a minority. It sucks.

Many people around your age (16-18) don't feel comfortable coming out in high school, so you've got a lot of closet cases there. And if you live in a small town, it's even worse because: less people = less gay people (duh)

My advice would be to hang in there, keep looking, and see what happens.

My advice is to just hang in there. When you get to collage there will be plenty of openly gay guys and it will be much easier. There is one thing I want to say though. You seem like the kinda guy that wants a boyfriend that is out. DO NOT DATE A CLOSETED GAY! It is the worst thing you could do. I did and I ended up losing a friend because of it. Please just wait.

Get out and do something social.

Ask your friends if they know any gay cuties who are single.

Join a club.

You will find your guy, it just might take time, depending on whether most gay guys in your area are out or not.

In my opinion, long distance relationships,and online relationships do not work.

What you should do is look around you. Get off the computer and get out there! Let your friends help you! Tell them to keep an eye out for someone to date!
