i'm 19 and don't want to get older?

I didn't want to become middle aged but it happened anyway. I can pretend all I want and lie to myself but it won't change the facts.

But I DO understand your aversion to turning 20. I had the same problem. Out of all of my birthdays (including 21, 25, 30, 35, and 40), I had the most trouble with turning 20. I was an emancipated minor and had been living on my own for four years before I turned 20 but I still liked being able to say that I was a "teenager". I cried on my 20th birthday. I was already a responsible adult but I just liked the feel of being technically a teenager.

Don't worry. It gets better. I wouldn't re-live my teens again even if I could. You are still going to be the same "you" regardless of what your age is. Grieve the loss of your teen years if you have to (I understand) but don't forget to look forward. The future is in front of you--not behind you. And keep in mind that it really does get better. You can be whoever you want and eventually those numbers about how many years you've lived will mean less to you. Your actual life and hopes and dreams will mean more than just some numbers.

If you feel like that now how are you going to feel when you get to pension age?

I don't mind being in my 20s, even 30s will be ok I expect but 40s+ I'm dreading, and especially being really old like 60s. All down hill from there but happens to everybody in the end.

Why? no count number if it particularly is a sturdy theory on the instant it's going to be a sturdy theory in 2 years whilst the sixteen year previous is legally an grownup! Why rush it? Scared the sixteen year previous gets clever in 2 years?

The truth is in a blink of an eye, you will find yourself in a wheelchair with ur grand children around u! If u figured out a way to stop the time, let me know! im 16 and i wish i wasnt even born into this world (0 years old) lol

Yea we all wish we could stay younger there are thousands of people in this world who would love to stay at the age of 19 and anyway age is just a number :) so stop worrying about it

I know what you mean, but i am sixteen. I just wish i could stay sixteen forever, finish school and get onto better things in life and have fun.... while staying sixteen. I mean i know im not legal age to do alot of stuff, but these days its easy to get by. Around every corner theres something illegal anyways. arghh, not meaning to sound like a teenage stereotype, but i wish school wasnt in the way of ruining the best years of my life (probably).

19 is not a teenager anymore. Hope you understand da. Well everybody grows low, No matter if they like it or not.

i never snuck out, did drugs, had a boyfriend, or a kiss, or drank alcohol, or rebelled

but 20 seems old

i mean i wanna get married before 30

i feel stressed now, its a weird feeling

dont worry I am 61 and 19 still in my head

its down to you ... your attitude etc

but dont get involved in others opinions they are prisons of your own making ..... oh by the way enjoy it all

wait til you turn 21, then start wishing you didn't have to get older.
