Is it just me, or are govs all over the world taking a turn for fascism?

We are indeed heading towards a new age of fascism. But this won't be like the fascism of old with the machine gun bunkers, breadlines,and labor camps. No, this new age of fascism will be one populated by nations of semi-literate TV junkies who care more about who wins some stupid singing competition than they do about having their civil liberties trampled on. Good Lord, over in Iran they riot about being denied a free election and over here we only seem to riot when our local sports team wins a championship. Shows you where our priorities lie. As the Romans said, give the masses their bread and circus and you can do pretty much whatever you want to them.

Down thru history, mankind's worst enemy has always been his own government.

The US is the first and ONLY government that the people enforced the freedoms that only Kings had in the past. Now, people want to get rid of our CHRISTIAN Constitution. No one could ever have come up with such a powerful constitution such as ours. Certainly not atheists, or Muslims, or Jews, Africans etc.

But even if they have copied our constitution, as Russia has, they can not make it work.

Christians with a British background were necessary to get it done. Along with a meaningful work ethic.

shortcut, no it is not just you. it is just you and me...and most white men. since we are now seen as the "evil" ones in america for holding down civil rights, pushing red man off his lands, keeping blacks enslaved we are now expected to give up our own constitutional rights. personally, my family did not push indians onto reservations now were any of my ancestors slaveholders nor did we try to intrude in civil rights so when i hear crazy stuff from liberals i do wonder what is coming around the corner, the Big Brother thing from 1984. my biggest concern is freedom of speech since i feel like i have had my constitutional right for that violated on several occasions. i felt unjustly thrown out of a department store by the manager (who called the police) for my talking (normally) to two people (one customer and one worker) in that store. strangely and unfortunately, this is not the ONLY time that this has occurred and i have just been trying to stay low key and keep a low profile less i get into more trouble. but, i understand your concern, and this doesn't really touch on the issues that have now gone on in the past 6 to 7 months at the highest level.

Ironically many of the nations that have adopted socialist agendas are turning from them. The U.S. has been warned by foreign leaders to avoid socialism.

Many of the countries that have adopted socialized health care are admitting their huge mistake.

While these countries are awakening and trying to turn back to capitalism the U.S. is led deeper into ruin.
