Why did the Popes say and do this stuff?

In the Bible, there is no provision or commandment for a pope, so therefore, nothing a pope does is Biblical.

Yes, some popes did bad things but so did protestant leaders...evil deeds are not solely the property of one church. So next time you start quoting, please include quotes from BOTH sides of the argument. And as you can see above, there were many popes who DID do the right thing!

Because everyone's perfect, oh wait... no, everyone isn't. Those popes were not good people in the churches very distant history. Get over it. Popes aren't infallible, the teachings of the Church are.

Do you understand that we Catholics never claim all our popes are holy, nor all that they say or do perfect. These were not ExCathedra teachings and therefore not guarantee infallible in these matters. Even Popes sin and can go to hell.

its funny then that the catholic church went on to choose a jew to be pope ...just before they chose a nazi youth ....i think they were trying to let the world know...they could save any soul ...

p.s as far as i am aware the jewish faith believe the children take their religon from the mother ...hence making john paul the second a jew ...and we all know about the latest one
