America's Crumbling Infrastructure Is collapsing! What should be done in your opinion?

Infastructure is the very foundation of the country. Meaning the bridges, water plants, Damns, power plants, fire hydrants etc. Most bridges and roads and various other fundamental foundational units are eroded and this means we could be a third world country in a real short time! It is very serious and very costly.
