Need to find a good home for a big adult mix breed dog?

Question

My brother & sister-in-law moved to a smaller place, leaving their 3 year old mix breed, large, female dog with a cousin. She is very sweet & gets along well with kids but they can't find a home for her. My cousins had no problems keeping her but recently their landlord said they had to get rid of her as well. Obviously a no kill shelter would be the next choice but when my brother got her she had already spent a 1 and a half in a kennel. We live in the Central Valley in CA, about an hour and a half south of San Francisco. Any suggestions?

Have your cousin post a personal classified on www.petfinder.com She could also try to place the dog with a local rescue group. There are many organizations in the SF area.

if you really want to get rid of it, go online and find the nearest adoption/ pet for a week place, ( this is when you give your dog to a shelter and the shelter lets people adopt the pet for a week) that is what i would do, also put up posters about a dog, cheap, for 75$ caz times are tough, and no one has $ anymore!

as quickly as we've been given our 1st dogs we adore you had thousands and thousands of questions as to which breed could suite us terrific. After lots analyze we had desperate on whippets. regardless of the undeniable fact that a chum around the line from us have been given a lab puppy 2 weeks in the past us and he or she replaced into only so wonderful we've been given one too. terrific breed ever! there's a reason all and sundry has them - they're superb animals! Ours is a small working sort (black) and is one in all those stable woman, very smart cuddly and quiet. She only is going with the bypass, loves her walks and could play fetch till her legs gave up in case you permit her. yet remains satisfied to place relating to the residing house if she isn't getting out (we've super backyard) we've 2 of her doggies - her daughter (lower back) is amazingly much like her in geared up and temperament regardless of the undeniable fact that her son (yellow) is a wee grasping fatty lazy lump yet nevertheless so loving and energetic whilst required. Over all i could say a lab is an extremely balanced dogs stable for all people :) I be conscious alot of people have counseled collies - they too are large dogs regardless of the undeniable fact that i does no longer propose them to a typical time dogs proprietor as they're VERY smart. or you're able to desire to continually decide for a rescue dogs - by no skill understand what you're able to desire to finally end up with :)
