I need a new heavy metal music infusion?

Question

i'm an old school 80's metal head who loved it all . Whether it would be thrash or death , or hard core . I also loved Bands like Iron maiden , and my most favorite , Suicidal tendencies . Overkill , Anthrax , obituary , etc etc , but i need to hear something new , something in the vain of killswitch engage or fear factory ( there about the newest music i listen to ) I need someone who knows a lot and i need a starting point , so many bands out there . thanks ...references or web sites would help

Dude! You need to go right now to pandora.com and start entering your favorite bands, songs, albums, etc... The site is a genome experiment. It breaks down the music you add and analyzes the various parts and pieces and the whole and all of it comes together in recommendations that pandora gives you.

You say yes or no to these suggestions, and it gives you options to further refine your desired sound. You get some BS, but almost all of it, with just a short time, is right on the spot for your particular tastes.

I am a 70's rock, 80's metal, Southern Rock, Eminem,  Johnny Cash......etc fan. I have many different tastes. On Pandora, I have as many stations as  want, each specifically tuned to a particular sound.

I have found tons of new bands doing music I like that I would never have heard of if pandora had not recommended them for me.

I'm not quite sure what you're looking for in world music. Folk metal is broadening every day. Most of the bands tend to use the traditional music of their homeland rather than a mix. Maybe Aghora, Tyr, Eluveitie, Tuatha de Danann or Korpiklaani?
