Australia in the winter (Sydney)?

Question

Does anyone know how Australia's weather is in the winter time? I'm going on June 20 and this is when there winter is. I don't really know what to expect since I live in a state that is always warm and sunny. I know it will probably be cold but I was just wondering if anyone had any advice from experience.

Sydney in Winter is actually pretty good. Most of the time it's windy but it's also sunny. If you are in the city it can be freezing it can also be freezing on a ferry. Looking at the weather today (8th June) it's all sunny and warm so expect a good trip. Oh yeah in Winter in Sydney it hardly rains (it's not like England) but lately there has been a few showers.

Aha! Cooper cracks me up. 

It's winter here in Sydney with average17 degree. Rain falls about 2-3 days out of the week and the rest are bright and sunny, kinda like Indian summer in US.

if im not mistaken the coldest it gets in sydney is 55 degrees or 60. its usually sweltering though, but yeah pack a couple sweaters. have fun!!
