Is it coincidence that the most popular savants are mostly either British or American?
I mean... it is kind of weird since the savant syndrome can be genetic. And British and Americans... The Americans partially came from GB. So that might be a genetic family... What do you think?

There doesn't appear to be much if any of a genetic link for intelligence. I think it's much more likely that people with these abilities are noticed in developed nations - in places where they'll spend their lives farming and never learn math or pick up an instrument, they may never be noticed at all.

If they lived in a poor rural area of India or China then they would probably just be labeled as retarded and useless. Not savants.
