Hi, Im pregnant and i have to do a fasting test tomorrow?
What do they look for in this test?
Also before i found out i was pregnant i smoked weed every now and then. Since i found out i have stopped. i've yet to tell my doctor that i use to smoke.
im going to tell him tomorrow because 3 days ago i went to a friends house for a bbq and i was offered some cookies i had 3 of them. as i was eating the last one i noticed it tasted funny. so i asked my friend and she said they had weed in them. that they gave my the wrong cookies. i was so mad and left. now im worried about them finding it in my blood. that will not tell me or they will test the baby and take her away from me.

Honesty is the best policy here. You're not going to get in trouble. The doctor should know for the health of the baby.
A fasting test could test for just about anything. I assume blood glucose because of the risk of gestational diabetes, cholesterol, triglycerides, comprehensive metabolic panel to measure your kidney and liver function, etc., but I don't know for sure. They rarely test for drugs without warning you first.

The test is to see how our body is handling the pregnancy, If all of us worried about cookies when pregnant then they would think we are nuts, The smoking thing if you are not smoking anymore then congratulations, I hope you can keep things that way. Let your Doctor know at your next appointment that you quit and you will be fine.

I have no clue why so many women hate the drink they're given. I had the orange flavor as well and it tasted exactly like a sunkist soda drink to me. It was nice, cold, carbonated and refreshing lol. One thing I wasn't aware of was that you have to drink it pretty quickly. You have a time limit and chugging something carbonated was making me burp a lot :) Just bring something to do while you wait, then a quick prick with the needle for some blood and off you go.

JUST TELL THE DR. NOTHING WILL HAPPEN THEY JUST NEED TO KNOW IF ANY TESTS COME BACK WRONG..
