What is your 18 month old saying?
My son can say "mama", "dadda", "baba", "boot", "uh-oh", "baby", "cho-cho" and every now and then will repeat whatever we say to him. Mostly he rambles on and on nonstop in his own language LOL. Should he be talking more at 18 months? What is your little one saying? I just can't wait to actually hear what he is trying to say to us...especially when I know he is telling us off half the time! LOL

Hey there!
Johnny is 19 months now. Over the past month, his vocabulary has completely tripled. He's pretty much repeating everything I say... He loves school buses, so I keep telling him that the bus takes the kids to school... So now when he sees one he says bus kids school! LOL
I think your son is on the right track. One of these days here soon, he's just going to take off and start talking! It may take you a few minutes to actually get what he's saying, lol!!!
This age is so fun!

right now he is not really behind, but I can see the potential. My youngest son's speech therapist likes to see 24+ words plus names at 18 months old...5 dozen words at 2 with some 2 word combinations. I would give him a few months tops, then if he has not picked up quite a few new words, call your local early intervention program and ask for a speech evalaution.
