Could someone please access a First World War death record pleas? I have all the info you will need to find it?

I know you can access this kind of thing on Ancestry but I'm not subscribed to it.

The record I'm looking for is for William Horace Oakley from Dudley who died in 1918. It's pretty easy to find.

I'd be really grateful if someone could give me the info from this record.

Thanks a lot and I will rate best answer.

"My Great Uncle Pte William Horace Oakley (27018) was killed 14/09/18 in the defence of Baku and I am trying to find out more information on what he was doing in Baku.

I am also trying to obtain a photo of the 9th Bn Worcestershire Regt names that are on the Tehran Memorial. I would be really grateful if anyone has a picture of the panel that bears his name. Signaller, Lance-Corporal

The Tehran Memorial says "IN THIS CEMETERY ARE THE GRAVES OF FIVE HUNDRED AND SIXTY THREE COMMONWEALTH SAILORS, SOLDIERS AND AIRMEN AND ONE NURSING SISTER WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN IRAN DURING THE TWO WORLD WARS. THE NAMES OF THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY OF THEIR COMRADES WHO DIED IN IRAN AND IN NEIGHBOURING LANDS DURING THE WAR OF 1914-1918 AND WHO HAVE NO KNOWN GRAVE ARE INSCRIBED ON THESE MONUMENTS. "

On this website, post # 5, it has a link --”Baku_Memorial_January_2007.jpg ( 93.1K )--to see the above memorial. BUT you have to be a member of the site in order to open it up.
